Yes, you will be requested to provide a settlement letter prior to collection.

Do i need to complete any part of the v5 once the vehicle is sold
This can now be done quite easily online by visiting www.gov.uk › ... › Buy, sell or scrap a vehicle. However of you prefer you can complete and retain section V5C/4 of the V5 and then send to DVLA at your convenience.
Is the offer subject to inspection and test drive
Our Team will ensure that your online description matches the actual details and condition of the car. Our offer is based on the description provided and the inspection is needed to confirm the specification, exterior, interior, and mechanical condition of the vehicle. Can i sell my car if the mot expires within 3 months
The minimum expiry date required is 3 months.
What documents do I need to provide in order to sell my car
You will need the V5, (registration document) and proof of Id which must match the address detailed on the V5. A Utility Bill or bank Statement will be required as proof of address if the vehicle is dropped off at our Office. If the vehicle has outstanding Finance a copy of the outstanding balance must be supplied. Bank details will be required when a collection / drop off date is agreed.

Can I sell the car on behalf of a relative
Provided you can provide written confirmation from the owner, we are prepared to make an offer for the vehicle. (Proof of id must also be provided from the owner and their representative who is selling the vehicle)
What if I don’t have the v5
We cannot purchase any car without the original V5 document (log book). You will need to obtain a new document by filling in form V62 which you can download from the DVLA website or pick up from any Post Office.
Unfortunately, are unable to make an offer on any vehicles that meet any of the categories that are detailed below:
- Do not meet the description you supplied unless our secondary offer is accepted.
- Are subject to a total Loss marker.
- Have major accident damage, been stolen or scrapped.
- Have mileage discrepancies
- Have tyres that aren’t road legal
- Have been used for taxi, private hire, or rental purposes
- Have been used as a driving school vehicle
- Have previously been owned by a police or local authority
- Have been imported or exported
- Have mechanical or electrical faults
- Have less than 3 months MOT
- Haven’t been first registered in the UK
- Are valued by us at £55,000 or more
- Have been registered before 2010
- Have been modified*
